Design for re-use of Aviodome for an Evangelical Church. Buckminster Fuller’s Geodome was built in 1970 for the Museum of Aviation at Schiphol Airport. In 2005 the dome was to be demolished, when a young and fast growing church community (Levend Evangelie Gemeente) came up with the idea to buy and re-use the structure. It was deconstructed and packed to become the main church hall as part of a greater complex where bible school, guesthouse and conference facilities will arise in a new structure.
